Fair Trade Takes Shape in Congo: The Peace Exchange & Action Kivu Sewing Workshop Grads

"Ability is of little account without opportunity." ~ Lucille Ball

Action Kivu is thrilled to partner with The Peace Exchange, to give the graduates of the sewing workshops in eastern Congo the opportunity to expand their sewing skills and sales beyond their community's needs.

When you buy a yoga bag, a tote, a placemat and napkin, or an apron, you partner in their stories, and put fair wages directly in the hands and households of these women — giving them the ability to feed, clothe, and educate their children, helping to break the cycle of poverty in their villages.

Check out The Peace Exchange products here, and share inspiration with them on Facebook, Twitter, & Pinterest!  Consider a donation, tax deductible through Action Kivu, to fund the one time start-up costs for the first production run, so that you can purchase these lovely pieces for your holiday shopping!
